I will just say that you put together an entertaining summary of the games. I agree with you regarding some of the negative aspects of the 2008 games and especially the host country, but overall I feel there was much more good than bad to come out of this year's games. I admit, I am not a hardcore Olympics fan, but there were some nice moments and I feel those will ultimately overshadow the bad. Hope to see you drop some posts more often because they are always a quality read. posted by: auntconi (reply) post date: 08.24.08 (6:49 pm) Way to go Bawdy ~ as usual ~ fantastic! I enjoyed watching the olympics ~ and really enjoyed your post! posted by: barnabus1 (reply) post date: 08.24.08 (7:28 pm) Beautiful presentation!!!! Enjoyed the "comments" too. The boxing was the worst even in the olympics, allowed to hold, get a point ahead and no longer box, try and hold through the 4 rounds!!! The referee acted blind and helpless...a disastrous set up...certainly wasn't boxing!!! posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 08.24.08 (8:21 pm) Wow. A most enjoyable post, and probably the most ambitious effort ever made here at tBlog. Wonderful job. posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 08.24.08 (11:29 pm) Excellent job as usual bawdy and well worth waiting for, You were right on about the fuddy duddy complaining about usains, I was glad that it didnt affect his running, he was like a breath of fresh air. I really enjoyed the Olympics , also Phelps and gymnastics. looking forward to your next entry. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (1:42 pm) Reply to: OldSchool Yes, there were thankfully plenty of inspiring and uplifting moments, which is why the Olympics will always be a positive experience. I just needed to speak out this time because the IOC lacks a spine. The athletes and fans rise above the politics. I appreciate your comments and your praise. Thanks! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (1:44 pm) Reply to: auntconi Glad to hear! I'm just sorry so many events were live in the wee morning hours. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (1:47 pm) Reply to: barnabus1 Thank you. Boxing is notorious for bad refereeing. I saw solid combinations landing without registering points. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (1:49 pm) Reply to: surrogate It did become kind of a Herculean effort, thanks for persevering, and for the kudos! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (1:51 pm) Reply to: LadyG Thanks, and I agree...it was an entertaining two weeks. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (2:18 pm) Hurrah, a bawdy post! Two in a year :) Thanks for the updates on the Olympic events I missed! I went to school with a speedwalker. posted by: auntconi (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (2:24 pm) Reply to: bawdy Well I guess when the venue is half way around the world, there is no other choice. But I do admire the collective efforts of all the athletes. I so wish the world could get along as well. Your post is fantastic as I said before, but worth repeating! Good Job! posted by: lorischuster (reply) post date: 08.25.08 (6:59 pm) This was a very concise (and long-overdue) post. As always, I appreciated your notes. This must have taken forever...not to mention did you watch all of it? I have a short attention span for the Olympics. If it weren't for Craig's insisting we watch it I would have ignored the entire thing. I do think that it builds national pride and that is always a plus...we are a great country. Sometimes the young Chinese girls, the swimmers especially, looked so sad...I get overly empathetic. It made me wonder, since they were taken from their homes to camp at age three...are the parents allowed to have an additional child? Anyway--I digress. Great Post and ALWAYS good to see you back. Hope you've had a good summer... posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (11:54 am) Reply to: rosietulips Speedwalking is so dumb! Most of them cheat anyway, but it's hard to detect with the naked eye. Two posts in a year? I guess I can take 2009 off now! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (12:00 pm) Reply to: auntconi Most of the athletes train four years for this one opportunity, so I hope most of them left with a sense of accomplishment. We've proven we can get along. At one point a Russian and a Georgian athlete hugged each other. If only politicians could follow their lead... posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (12:11 pm) Reply to: lorischuster Thanks for your comments. They are much appreciated. Yes, it got to be a time consuming undertaking over the two weeks, and I did watch a lot of the coverage. Americans are very patriotic, but the Chinese people were too. I guess their successful athletes earn a lifestyle of some privilege, but they are pushed too hard, too young. I wonder if they all even have a passion for the sport they are steered into. As far as I know, only the wealthy get to be exceptions to the one child only policy. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (12:17 pm) Watching the speedwalking makes my knees ache! Have you noticed how contorted those people are? Geez. And women's beach volleyball is one of my new fav's too, of course it's not so much the babes in bikini's as it is the sheer athletic condition of those babes! heh I do wonder how they keep the sand out of the crotch region in those bikini's?? Excellent observations as usual. Couldn't you work to like a weekly post or something? :) posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (12:19 pm) Reply to: lorischuster Thanks for your comments. There are some rules! Maybe I should find them out and take up a new sport! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (12:26 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree The way they walk looks like it would be hard on their spines for sure. The conditioning of most of the athletes is amazing, and I'm sure they are forced to endure sand in the crotch! LOL A weekly post? Are you insane? I have my slacker reputation to uphold! posted by: auntconi (reply) post date: 08.26.08 (9:07 pm) Hello ~ I just re-read this post ~ again, great work ~ thanks for putting so much time into it. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.27.08 (11:32 am) Reply to: rosietulips Yes, one foot must be in contact with the ground at all times, but it's not always easy to see if they do when they go fast. I think they get two warnings before they get disqualified. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.27.08 (11:36 am) Reply to: auntconi Thanks for acknowledging that...this did turn into an ambitious project over the two weeks, so the compliments are appreciated! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.27.08 (12:05 pm) Reply to: bawdy You sure know your Olympics!! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.27.08 (12:14 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I think I watched more of these games than any other. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.27.08 (1:05 pm) Reply to: bawdy I wish I was able to watch more of them. I was really curious about the Chinese-Canadian fencer. And I did enjoy looking at the male divers! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 08.28.08 (12:16 pm) The fencer was inspirational, but too old to really be a medal threat anymore. But she won a match! The Chinese divers were great, so it was nice to see Heymans and the Aussie guy do so well. posted by: Rillseave (reply) post date: 05.22.09 (7:59 pm) hm.. nice ) posted by: Siseeboop (reply) post date: 06.07.09 (8:30 pm) now I'll stay tuned.. posted by: Ca Hentai Games (reply) post date: 10.13.09 (8:17 pm) now I'll stay in touch.. posted by: Peeped (reply) post date: 10.16.09 (9:39 am) I should email u about this. posted by: Drunk Cock Sucking (reply) post date: 10.29.09 (12:18 pm) hmm... thank you for this thoughts posted by: Virgin Radio One (reply) post date: 11.01.09 (9:12 pm) emm. thanks for thread )) posted by: Drunk And Sex (reply) post date: 11.15.09 (1:49 am) yeah. nice thread :)) posted by: Asien Teen]ich kostenlos porn liebe powered (reply) post date: 11.16.09 (9:25 am) hmm. bookmarked ! posted by: Picture Porn Incest]family incest secret videos[/u (reply) post date: 11.19.09 (10:24 pm) yoo.. funny :) posted by: Hot Pissing Porn]squirting in a car: hot cum (reply) post date: 11.21.09 (10:27 am) yo. amazing te xt posted by: Virgins Underwear (reply) post date: 11.25.09 (3:42 pm) any changes coming ? n |
